Maxis Makes Largest Acquisition To Date With MyKris Asia For RM157 Million

Maxis in what could be its biggest acquisition to date has acquired MyKRIS Asia Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian-based company specialising in Managed Network and Security Services for RM157.5 million.

MyKRIS Asia which is the subsidiary of MyKRIS International Berhad, is a holding company listed on Bursa LEAP market. The acquisition will immediately add a pool of experts comprising 70 qualified engineers and support team, aimed to further enhance its capabilities on the Maxis Programmable Network which represents the foundation for future 5G readiness from Private Network to 5G Fixed Wireless Access.

The newly acquired entity comes with 20 years’ experience and has significant reputation in the local Managed Network Services market, in addition Maxis will benefit from its strong team of certified specialists, diverse customer base, network assets, and top-tier global and local partnerships.

Managed network and security services are vital components for digital transformation strategies and with MyKRIS Asia onboard, Maxis is looking to expand its suite of network solutions and technical capabilities built on its Maxis Programmable Network.

The latest acquisition of MyKRIS Asia follows a slew of acqui-hires by Maxis in the last two years including Infrastructure Consulting & Managed Services Sdn Bhd (ICMS) and Peering One Sdn Bhd for end-to-end professional and managed cloud services, and Audeonet (M) Sdn Bhd for Voice and Unified Communications solutions.
