MoneyLion With Malaysian Founder Lists On NYSE

MoneyLion Inc. has marked history by becoming the first Malaysian fintech firm to list on the New York Stock Exchange.

Under the ticker symbol ‘ML’, the significant event places the co-founder Foong Chee Mun, as the first Malaysian fintech founder on the NYSE, announced plans to bolster the Company’s Kuala Lumpur-based technology centre of excellence, which currently employs over 250 technologists in the areas of data science and machine learning, product management, product engineering and cybersecurity. The Company expects to double the size of its Malaysian office in the next 12 months.

An engineer by training and currently the Chief Technology Officer at MoneyLion Inc., Foong aspires to grow the fintech industry in Malaysia, as the country gears towards digitalisation.  He said: “For this to happen, we are actively recruiting local talents to join our team.”
