Ni Hsin To Develop Batteries For A Greener Environment

Ni Hsin EV Tech Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Ni Hsin Group Bhd, has signed a head of agreement with MNA Energy Sdn Bhd to develop battery technology for electric motorcycles (EV two-wheelers) that contributes to a greener environment.

The group focus on developing an advanced battery system and more standardised battery swapping infrastructure for EV two-wheelers that will be commodious for riders to easily exchange their depleted batteries with the fully charged ones.

The system can be compared to Gogoro’s urban EV Two Wheeler battery refuelling platform and the battery system will include battery tracking and management via a cloud-connected network, as well as the ability to monitor the battery’s lifespan.

“The collaboration is also intending to show support in local capabilities in the development of green technology and at the same time promoting sustainability in line with our environmental, social, and governance responsibilities,” says Khoo.

Malaysia’s National Automotive Policy and International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali support the EV ecosystem, which includes initiatives to strengthen the ecosystem and assist in the commercialization of local EV technologies.
