CIMB Niaga CEO Resigns

CIMB Group which owns CIMB Niaga its Indonesian outfit has announced that its President and CEO Tigor M Siahaan has tendered his resignation with immediate effect.

Under the sudden circumstances, the board is actively seeking a selection and transition planning process and will be announcing a new appointment in due course. The bank has ensured for a smooth transition, Tigor will be serving out his notice period in his current capacity with CIMB Niaga.

Tigor, was the Chief Country Officer of Citi Indonesia from 2011-2015 and was the first Indonesian to be appointed to the post at CIMB. He holds various positions in the country, among them as the Chairman of Indonesia Malaysia Bilateral Committee of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vice Chairman of Perbanas (Indonesian Banks Association), and many others.

His leaving will a gap in the bank’s pursuit in Indonesia and could affect its Forward23+ targets.
