Selangor Chief Minister has hinted on some good news for the state residents as he will be making a special announcement related to the Rumah Idaman program under Menteri Besar Incorporated this Wednesday. In a posting on social media page by the state office "Good news for the people of this state there will be a live announcement on Amirudin Shari's Facebook and the PLATS program at 2.30 pm. He further added “The opportunity to build a more meaningful life is now in your hands. Don't forget to watch me" On May 2, Amirudin said that a total of 80,650 units of Rumah Selangorku Idaman dan Harapan through 41 projects are scheduled to be completed within four years. Of that amount, more than 77,000 will be offered to the public while the rest eill be given to the State Government for the implementation of the Smart Rent Then Buy (2STAY) Scheme. Through the Selangor Budget 2021, Amirudin announced a total of RM20 million for the Smart Rental Scheme program using the Tabung Amanah Pengecualian Syarat Kuota Bumiputera trust fund. This material announcement comes just 2 days before Federal Government ruled by opposition part the Pakatan Nasional coalition set to announce its 2022 Budget. Reports indicate to more supporting budget for the B40 segment of the population, and Menteri Besar Selangor is probably seeking to pull the thunder away from that announcement by making his own statement on helping the troubled segment of the population.
