Cable and wire manufacturer Southern Cable Group Berhad (Southern Cable, the Group is heading to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad come this 28 October 2021.
This is a positive indication for the company which has some of the most reputable clients in the industry when it comes to cable supply. Including, Telekom Malaysia, TNB, Petronas Nasional, and Sabah Electricity to name a few.
Under the transfer, the entire share capital of its 800 million shares will be transferred to the Main Market from the ACE Market and classified under the Industrial Products & Services sector and traded under the stock name SCGBHD and stock code 0225. Apart from the firms listed as its client, it is also a key supplier to various industries including power distribution and transmission, telecommunications, building and construction, infrastructure, manufacturing and processing industries including oil and gas processing and petrochemical plants.
Southern Cable is also involved in mega projects in the country like the Mass Rapid Transit, Refinery, and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) project in Pengerang, Johor.
