Greater Market Access For Malaysian Companies At 4th CIIE 2021

The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) is spearheading the participation of seven Malaysian companies in the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2021 in a hybrid format, from 5 – 10 November at Shanghai, China.

The MATRADE Pavilion occupies 10 booths in Intelligent Industry & Information Technology Cluster and Consumer Goods Cluster. The Pavilion will be exhibiting products ranging from automation machines, semiconductors, blood tubes, panel assembly for niche-industry to exquisite jewellery and bridal couture. CIIE is not just like any other exhibition in China, but it is the largest international exhibition endorsed by the Central Government of China. It is also a strategic platform for Malaysian companies to tap the huge potential in the diverse markets of China.

MATRADE has scheduled one-on-one business meetings between the Malaysian exhibitors and Chinese buyers to enable business discussions on export opportunities.  Yew Loh, Founder of The Bridal Couture Sdn Bhd @ The Atelier, who will be participating in the CIIE for the second time is looking forward to building successful business partnerships with foreign companies.

The company will be showcasing a series of bridal couture worth RMB50 million (RM32.4 million). They believe that CIIE will be an important venue to grow Malaysia’s talents and expertise in the international markets for soft export, design and art in the international markets.

According to MATRADE’s CEO, Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz, “This is the third time for MATRADE to coordinate Malaysia participation in the exhibition. Malaysia’s participating companies in previous CIIE received overwhelming response from the foreign buyers”.
