TCS, Celcom To Create Future-Ready Business Support System

India-based Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is broadening its partnership with Celcom Axiata Bhd to create future-ready business support systems through TCS HOBS and TCS TwinX hosted on Microsoft Azure.

Celcom’s CEO (Technology), Afizulazha Abdullah, states the telecommunications company is continuing its modernisation journey by transforming its business operations and incorporating new technology to provide customers with better experiences.

TCS HOBS is a plug-and-play digital business platform for subscription, device, and data management. It will enable companies to leverage partner ecosystems and venture into B2B2X models to build on future-proof, microservices-based catalogue-driven architecture.

B2B2X is a new business model in which a telecom service provider is primed to deliver services to many end-users.

The TCS TwinX combines research on artificial intelligence (AI) and the actor model of computation to aid companies in simulating effective decision-making, it also will navigate business leaders to predict and simulate the future behaviour of entities for achieving holistic business goals.

The digital twin-based simulator helps construct hypotheses, model entities, and test business decision outcomes in a virtual A/B testing mode.

As a result, businesses can expect increased revenue, lower revenue leakage, faster time to market, shorter cycle times, and improved customer experience.

“The combined capabilities of TCS HOBS and TCS TwinX would give Celcom real-time product and pricing strategy guidance, collaborative creativity and experimentation, and competitive differentiation through single-touch federation,” says TCS president for communications, media, and information services Kamal Bhadada.
