Kiplepay Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Green Packet Bhd is continuing its commitment to empowering Malaysian students with cashless solutions with the launch of KipleMall, an online marketplace accessed through the Kiple mobile application. This follows the recent introduction of its Visa Prepaid Card that provides students with the opportunity to go cashless everywhere, with instant access to over 70 million merchants worldwide, both offline and online

KipleMall, an online marketplace is a curated platform for students to shop for all their essential educational materials. Interested merchants with products and services relevant to students can come onboard KipleMall and potentially reach out to more than 280,000 students from Kiple’s existing partnerships with major local universities like UiTM, UUM, UPM, UPSI, and UTeM to name a few.

Through KipleMall, universities can also get into co-brand partnerships with the platform, utilising it as a more efficient channel to sell their products and services to students. Universities can create a co-branded platform with KipleMall, via KipleUNI Community in the Kiple app or their own e-wallet. They can then personalise the materials for their own students according to their respective establishments – for example, students from University A will be able to view more University A related student materials for their greater ease and benefit.

“Kiple is committed to serving Malaysia’s agenda of driving the digital nation and cashless adoptions forward, with students being one of our core focus segments. Earlier, we introduced Zakat disbursements through our e-wallet and launched the Visa Prepaid Card which allows students to go cashless everywhere. And now with KipleMall, students can shop online for educational materials seamlessly. We are excited about how this launch and partnership with UBSM will help us deliver more exciting and connected experiences for university students through our solutions,” Ricky Lew, acting CEO of Kiplepay shares.

Keith Thong, Group MD of UBSM adds that this partnership is a mutually beneficial one for both Kiple and UBSM, as each party brings their own expertise to the table to help the other succeed in helping university students.
