Malaysia’s Sweetheart Encouraged By State Support For Budding Entrepreneurs

Malaysia's sweetheart artist, Siti Nurhaliza when not on stage is busy with her company CTDK Holdings which is primarily involved in cosmetics and accessories targeting the female segment. As successful as she is belting her popular numbers at sold out concerts, the crooner has also made her brand SimplySiti a popular name through unrelentless grit and perserverence. 

Now she is encouraging all budding entrepreneurs to go all out and be committed when they are involved in their business, the superstar was giving her comments at the Selangor Smart Cities and Digital Economy (SDEC) Convention which she has been involved since 2016. 

According to her, conventions like this help promote the brand to visitors and other exhibitors, she added that the valuable experience helped entrepreneurs introduce local products and showcase the best products.

The country's number one singer also described the convention as a suitable platform to bring his company's products to the international market. "It gives a lot of positive changes and thanked SDEC for providing opportunities and facilities to help local entrepreneurs". 

Among the products introduced under her brand includes cosmetics and skin care products, fragrances, disinfectant liquids and Afiya lids. She added that the company is trying to expand the business and is confident SIDEC can bring the products abroad perhaps to Dubai Expo. 

The award winning singer joined 28 other exhibitors in SDEC 2021, the event takes place in conjunction with the Selangor International Business Summit, from 18 to 21 November. A total of RM11 million is allocated for the event covering the development and maintenance of business portals, apart from marketing and development for nine major events.

Other events include the Selangor Asean Business Conference and the Selangor Research and Development and Innovation Expo 2021, BusinessToday is the official media partner for this business event.
