Astrum Ampang Signs Agreement With Ascott

Setia Awan Group’s Astrum Ampang Sdn Bhd and The Ascott Limited (Ascott) have entered into an agreement for the management and operations of Citadines Astrum Ampang Kuala Lumpur. The 230-unit serviced residence is slated to open its doors in 2026. Citadines Astrum Ampang Kuala Lumpur will be in Block M of the upcoming Astrum Ampang mixed development project. The landmark project has a gross development value (GDV) of RM 1.6 billion.

The agreement was inked by Ng Teck Hua, Executive Director of Setia Awan Central Region and Mondi Mecja, The Ascott Limited’s Country General Manager for Malaysia at the Astrum Ampang Property Gallery in Phileo Damansara 1, Selangor.

Citadines Astrum Ampang Kuala Lumpur offers the flexibility of a serviced residence with the services of a hotel. The 230 units serviced residences consist of studio and one-bedroom apartments with facilities dedicated for patrons only, such as a swimming pool, a gymnasium, a residents’ lounge, meeting rooms and food & beverage outlets. The establishment will also have its own dedicated lobby complete with a drop-off area exclusive for the patrons.

Meeting the Demands of First-Time Homebuyers

Apart from the Citadines Astrum Ampang Kuala Lumpur units, the Astrum Ampang mixed development also comprises residential units for sale which will be launched in phases. Designed with practicality that meets the needs of urban homebuyers, particularly first-timers in their 30s, Astrum Ampang’s Phase 1 SOHO units have a built-up area of 280 sq ft and are priced at RM230,000. In the recent launch of Astrum Ampang’s Phase 1 units, the developer has recorded 80% take-up rate amid the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The project is integrated with the progressive Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) concept which considers the availability of jobs, housing, and amenities around public transit systems. Astrum Ampang is supported by the principles of TODs to provide an affordable living environment as well as a quality and sustainable lifestyle.
