Benelec And Chinese Firm To Joint Develop 2nd Generation Biodiesel And Biojet Fuel

Benalec is working together with Shanxi Construction Investment Group Co. Ltd and Malaysian Palm Oil Board on the proposal to develop and build a production plant of 2nd Generation Biodiesel and Biojet Fuel in Pengerang Maritime Industrial Park.

Benalec is an integrated, one-stop-centre, marine construction solutions provider, the company via its subsidiary Spektrum Budi has been granted the concession to reclaim and develop PMIP via a Development Agreement executed with the State Government of Johor. SCIG on the other hand is incorporated in China and is known as the largest comprehensive state-owned investment and construction
group company in Shanxi Province.

Together the parties are looking to develop a processing and manufacturing plant for the proposed development of a palm oil biodiesel and biojet fuel plant to be located in Malaysia.

Malaysia is looking to spearhead the biojet fuel innovation and production as the airline industry look for alternative fuel for their planes that are more sustainable and green.
