KPower Chairman Dato Abdul Karim Steps Down

Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah KPower Bhd’s non-independent non-executive chairman has resigned effective immediately.

According to a statement released by KPower today, deputy chairman Mustakim Mat Nun will temporarily take over as chairman.

After assuming majority ownership of KPower in 2019, Karim (he is also Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd group managing director and chief executive officer) and Grand Deal Vision Sdn Bhd emerged as the majority shareholders.

“Karim and the new management team have since transformed KPower from a loss-making manufacturing company into a renowned and unstoppable renewable energy player,” says the company.

KPower said it had also diversified its business into the healthcare and logistics segments under the new leadership.
