Trainocate: Assisting Malaysia To Achieve Its Digital Aspirations

In line with the recently announced 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) and Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDIGITAL), Malaysia is well on its way to becoming a notable digital economy powerhouse in the region.

With significant recent events accelerating all forms of digital transition not only for individuals but also for entrepreneurs and businesses nationwide, it takes more than just installing an automation software to speed operations up.

For a seamless transition and an effective outcome, companies are looking towards training and certification to upskill and reskill their employees to better adapt to the digital new normal we are currently experiencing.

With new jobs such as data analysts and automation engineers emerging at an increasing rate, companies are left with no choice but to constantly pursue new solutions to keep up with demands not only by customers but the field itself.

Professional development training provider, Trainocate Malaysia is aligning its business goals to Government initiatives by providing top notch IT training and certifications to ensure Malaysian businesses can keep up with the globalised digital economy.

Preparing The Workforce of The Future

Ruby Kaur, Country Head of Trainocate Malaysia highlights that Malaysia’s digital transition was necessary for the nation’s economic survival in a competitive global business ecosystem, adding that Malaysia is also severely lagging in its digital adoption compared to its fellow ASEAN counterparts.

“This might be caused by Malaysia’s more conservative approach, which places importance on cost and risk management rather than innovation. This slows down the overall process towards digitalisation,” Ruby says.

“We are constantly evolving and adapting our training with the changing technological trends and keeping our fingers on the pulse of digital transformations worldwide to prepare our IT workforces sufficiently,” says Ruby.

Trainocate has done this by driving IR4.0 courses such as Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Automation to the fore as the nation shifts towards becoming more agile and data driven.

The company also offers a Learning Management System that supports customers with the holistic means to identify skills gaps and at the same time offer certification preparation via hands-on training by instructors as well as complimentary e-learning courses.

Additionally, in building the next generation of digitally-enabled employees, Trainocate works closely with big technology companies such as Alibaba Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), CompTIA, Google Cloud, Microsoft, Nutanix, Oracle, Red Hat, UiPath and Splunk as their official training partner leveraging on their state-of-the-art solutions to steer digital transformations and reskilling initiatives in the country.

Trainocate also collaborates with Government agencies such as Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera and Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC), in fortifying the Malaysian workforce for paradigm shifts within the tech landscape.

Recognised As a Key Enabler

Recognised for their work in developing the workforce of the future, Trainocate was recently awarded 2021 Microsoft Worldwide Learning Partner of the Year under the Business Excellence category. The award acknowledges outstanding achievements and innovations from across Microsoft’s global partner ecosystem. Trainocate was among the few winners that were selected as best-in-class from 4,400 nominees that came from 100 countries and across 56 categories.

Among other things, winning the award is an indication of Trainocate Malaysia’s support as a Microsoft Learning Partner to drive Microsoft’s Bersama Malaysia initiative to establish its first data centre in Malaysia. This initiative, which was launched in late-April 2021, will assist in generating approximately RM19 billion in revenues over the next 4 years, according to IDC.

In addition to the Microsoft award, Trainocate also earned itself the 2021 Top 20 IT Training Company by Training Industry, USA. The award recognises Top IT Training companies that provide specific skills that are required to perform the tasks and processes of IT professionals and employees across departments.

On winning the awards, Ruby shares with BusinessToday that the award is a strong testament of its commitment in driving the Malaysian government’s IR4.0-centric strategy under the MyDIGITAL initiative and blueprint, which focuses on building agile and competent digital talent.
