AirAsia Suspends Flight From KL and Bangkok To Singapore

With the announcement made by Singapore on the suspension of land and air travel under the VTL program, AirAsia will also be suspending its flight bookings between 23 December 2021 and 20 January 2022 from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Bangkok Don Mueang (DMK) to Singapore (SIN).

In the meantime, the low-cost carrier will continue to operate 7x weekly VTL flights from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, those with existing VTL flight bookings and with an approved Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP) may enter the city-state without quarantine and will just need to undergo a COVID-19 test upon arrival and post-arrival ARTs.

However, the Thailand operation will cancel its VTL flights from Bangkok Don Mueang to Singapore until further notice. AirAsia added that impacted guests will be notified through email and SMS with instructions on how to select one of the service recovery options available to them.

The airline says, that it is closely monitoring the global health situation and states that it reserves the right to announce further policies according to the latest developments.
