HRD Corp Support Flood Relief Efforts

Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) has mobilised its employees and public volunteers to support the flood relief efforts all across the Klang Valley, starting yesterday. The effort, led by its Chief Operating Officer, Dato’ Ariff Farhan Doss, and other members of the senior leadership committee comprise of providing food and essential items to flood victims in shelters and relief centres, as well as post flood home cleaning support for houses in affected areas such as Shah Alam, Klang and Hulu Langat.

In the past two days, over 100 volunteers comprising HRD Corp’s own employees, MAHSA College students and private individuals have visited many families in need and is expected to reach 400 more in the coming days. The operation will continue daily till the end of the week.  

Malaysians who would like to support this relief effort can do so in two ways. First, they can donate essential items such dry foods, bottled water, toiletries, pillows, duvets and blankets, clothes and more. These can be dropped off at the organisation’s Collection Centre, Ground Floor, Wisma HRD Corp in Damansara Heights.

Secondly, HRD Corp also welcomes individuals who would like to volunteer their time, effort and energy in the relief effort. They can do so by filling up their details in the following link and come to Wisma HRD Corp daily before 10 am before the team is deployed. Individual volunteers are required to wear suitable clothing. All transport, cleaning supplies and food for volunteers will be provided by HRD Corp.
