With Christmas’s Day just passed around the corner, and now we’re entering the New Year Eve’s what can be more welcoming other than having a little sweet time with loved ones to the best bakery shop in town ( well, around the Klang Valley area).

You can check the best 5 bakeries in the Klang Valley down below, starting with our top choice.

1. Michelle Young Cafe, Aurora Place, Bukit Jalil

The café, which is currently located in Aurora Place, a relatively new mall, has a vintage design. The serene minimalism was perfectly captured by the rather traditional English teahouse design with some Muji touches. With its surrounding ornaments and wooden trinkets, it’s dainty and calming while also captivating.

There’s a wide variety of treats here to satisfy your dessert cravings, including doughnuts, cakes, cookies, and scones. Some of the most popular cookie flavours include Matcha Nutella Hazelnut, Classic Chocolate Chips, S’mores, and Triple Dark Chocolate. The doughnut, on the other hand, isn’t your typical doughnut. Go check them and it might surprise you!

The Social Group’s central bakery is located in Lisette, so if you see burnt cheesecakes and salted pecan caramel cakes at The Social or El Meson, they’re from here.

4. Kenny Hills Baker Ampang

According to a food blogger, Bangsar Babe, on their patisserie, “Even a non-fan like myself is hooked because Kenny Hills Bakers do it so well. The pastry base is just the right thickness, and it holds its shape even when prodded with a fork.

“The key lime filling then provides a moderately sweet and tangy acid find to be well-suited to my palate. It has a light texture and flavour, but it is absolutely delicious. If you like meringues, the strawberry tart is worth trying; it’s chewy with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and a crunchy shell.”
