KDEBWM Seeks Excavator Rental For Debris Clearing

Selangor State-owned waste management company KDEB Waste Management has invited individuals or companies that own excavators to rent out their machines for clearing the flood waste in Shah Alam.

The overwhelming amount of debris and rubbish has left the KDEB inundated due to lack of machinery to transport large items like wood blocks, cupboards, and metal from the area said its Managing Director Ramli Mohd Tahir. “There is a lot of rubbish in Taman Sri Muda and we apologize to the residents if it is delayed due to the lack of diggers,” he added. This delay has also affected the clearing of clogged drains, roads, and ditches which can only be done once the post-flood waste collection process in the entire area is completed.

Ramli also asked the locals to help KDEB employees put rubbish into the lorries so that the collection process would be smoother and faster. “Our focus is not just removing rubbish from people’s houses but the overall cleaning operation as well,”.

Those who want to rent out the excavator can refer to the company’s Facebook and website or contact the operations manager of Taman Sri Muda, Rizal at 013-3228231.

Currently, the post -flood waste collection process from the affected areas reached 85 percent, while 65 percent in Taman Sri Muda and is expected to be completed in a few days.
