Grand Hoover had accepted 3 Letters of Awards from Widad Builders for projects in Kelantan and Kedah worth a total sum of RM373,830,491.76 to undertake the role as the main contractor.
The project in Kelantan is a sub-contract to build the Kota Bharu-Kuala Krai Highway under Package C which is worth RM188.8million, the project is to start immediately and is expected complete by the end of 2024. As for the Kedah project, Grand Hoover will be appointed to upgrade the Bukit Selambau Water Treatment plant with an estimated project worth RM110 million and is also been handed the upgrading work for the Sungai Limau water treatment plant for RM75 million, both these jobs are to be completed by 2023.
The group is involved in various construction fields, including piping, ceramic tiles, property development and construction work for buildings.
Widad was handed Package C of the highway project that will span across 74 km connecting the two Kelantan cities, the project is overseen by JKR.
