Honda Tantalises Fans With The RS Variant In Civic Lineup

Honda Malaysia officially launched the All-New Civic marking the Japanese car makers’ 11th generation C-segment model that has become Honda’s most popular make in Malaysia.

Managing Director, Ms. Madoka Chujo said, “In developing the 11th Generation All-New Civic, Honda’s R&D team has put in a lot of thought and effort in designing the exterior, interior and overall package of the car. This model is a modern interpretation of the classic and timeless human-centered Honda values, with a new design concept that exudes a New Age Identity sedan.”

The lineup of Civic’s this time comes along with the highly anticipated RS variant which is the sporty version of the sedan. The new Civic RS comes with that exclusive exterior features such as Black Painted; Side Mirrors, Shark Fin Antenna, Outer Door Handles and Trunk Spoiler.

Ms. Chujo added, “In 2016, Honda was the first Japanese mass manufacturer to introduce the VTEC Turbocharged engine in the 10th Generation Civic. The acceptance of Honda’s Turbocharged engine in the market was overwhelming, and since then, 60% of the Civic sales were contributed by the Turbocharged variants. Today, we are pleased to offer Malaysians an enhanced VTEC Turbocharged engine in the 11th Generation All-New Civic that will further uplift the C-Segment in terms of performance as well as excite our customers with a thrilling driving experience.”

The 11th Generation All-New Civic is offered in three variants – E, V and the sporty RS variant. The enhanced 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged engine comes standard in all variants. Offering customers a thrilling ride, engine performance have been raised to a maximum power output of 182PS and segment-leading 240Nm of torque, which is more powerful than a 2.4L engine performance.

The Honda SENSING feature has been enhanced with improved functionality to offer a more natural system intervention. Another function improvement in the Honda SENSING is Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) which enables a natural and smooth steering operation during turn-in and out as well as corrective steering assist in environment such as cross winds and wind pressure beside bigger vehicles.

The price for the E variant is RM125,634.64, while the V variant is priced at RM138,043.36. Honda customers can own the RS variant at the price of RM144,350.09. With the launch of this exciting new model, Honda Malaysia targets to sell 900 units per month. Ignite Red Metallic and Meteoroid Gray Metallic are the two new vibrant colours offered in the All-New Civic. Other colour options are Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.
