Malaysia’s Biggest Maze Park Is Shaped Like A Heart In Perak

Thinking about where to explore for this Chinese New Year holiday? We have just the thing for you and your family to explore.

Beautiful Perak isn’t just about food heaven but is also one of the hot tourism spots in Malaysia thanks to a wide variety of attractions. From historical sites like Kellie’s Castle to theme parks like Lost World of Tambun and even nature’s hidden gem, the Mirror Lake – there’s certainly a lot to explore.

Now, we also know that Perak is one of the biggest mining sites in Malaysia but what does mining sites have got to do with attractions? Well, for Perak, just like its name, they are seeing the silver lining in everything.

One of the last surviving mining sites in Malaysia, which happens to be in Perak, has added another attraction in its vicinity – a park. Not just any park, mind you, but the biggest maze park and it is shaped like a heart!

The site is known as Tanjung Tualang Tin Dredge No.5, or TT5 and the park encompasses a total area of 55,000 square feet. Besides getting the opportunity to explore a total of 83 years of history in the area, there are also heaps of other fun activities for you to participate in.

Other than the Dredge Tour and hands on panning experience, TT5 organises community programs you can enjoy such as:

  • Weekend bazaars and Saturday night markets
  • Moonlight camping and BBQ
  • Traditional games
  • Arts and crafts programmes
  • Cooking classes
  • Drone race
  • ATV fun ride
  • Horse riding
  • Blowpipes
  • Monthly Zumba and fitness sessions

You can also organise family days and team-building programmes in the area. The attraction looks magnificent through aerial view, and might we add – the whole park is Insta-worthy. But our favourite part of the park would be the mini petting zoo! There are cute fluffy bunnies as well as farm animals like goats, cows and chickens. Wouldn’t that be a great experience for families with children to enjoy?

So, take photographs with picturesque backgrounds while getting to know more about the mining history in Malaysia in TT5 sometime soon!
