RHB CEO Tenders Resignation

Since the announcement that Group Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Khairussaleh Ramli had taken ‘leave of absence’ recently, there was strong speculation that he will be leaving the RHB and joining a competitor.

While there is still no news of whether he will be joining another bank, the rumour of him leaving RHB is now confirmed. In a press statement, RHB informed that Dato Khairussaleh has tendered his resignation effective 25 March 2022.

As for a successor, the group states that it has initiated its transition plan and the selection process is currently ongoing. In the interim, RHB has appointed Mohd Rashid Mohamad who is the Managing Director, Group Wholesale Banking has as the Officer-in-Charge/Principal Officer of the Group.

It seems the great resignation is not limited to only mid and lower-level management staff!
