EITA Among Firms Handed Sarawak Energy Substation Extension Job Worth RM58 Million

EITA through its 60% owned subsidiary TransSystem Continental together with Terapan Dinamik (M) Sdn. Bhd. was given 2 notifications of award from Sarawak Energy Berhad to undertake substation extension work.

The contract is for substation extension and reinforcement of supply at Mambong 275/132/33kV substation for a contract sum of RM29.3million and the substation extension and reinforcement of supply at Entinggan 275/132/33kV substation for a contract sum of RM28.9 million.

TSC’s scope of work for the contracts includes the management, execution, implementation, and financing for the Contracts, while Terapan Dinamik is responsible for the civil engineering works for the Contracts. The duration of Project Mambong is 24 months from the date of commencement, while the duration of Project Entinggan is 21 months from the commencement date.

The commencement date for both Project Mambong and Project Entinggan is February 2022 or a later date as may be notified by Sarawak Energy Berhad.


  1. The Contracts will not have any material effect on the net assets and gearing of EITA Group for the financial year ending 30 September 2022 and are expected to contribute positively to the earnings of EITA Group over the duration of the Contracts.

  2. The potential risks involved in the Contracts are the same with any other projects
    undertaken by TSC which are considered normal operational risks.
