FTSE BM KLCI Ended Higher 0.23 Points or 0.02% at 1,515.99

Kuala Lumpur, Jan 27 –Bursa Malaysia ended slightly higher on Thursday despite regional markets ended in red today due to last hour bargain-hunting.

** Bursa Malaysia ended higher on Wednesday, the FTSE BM KLCI up 0.23 points or  0.02% at 1,515.99 .

** The FTSE BM KLCI opened at 1516.48. The index fluctuated between 1,510.64 – 1518.61.

** 329 counters are gainers,  395 counters are unchanged, while 589 counters are losers.

** Total volume of 2,224,359,900 recorded; while Turnover of RM1,774,164,304 .

** The Top 5 Gainers : FBMKLCI-HDW (0.695, +0.38) ; KLK (21.72, +0.22) ; HSI-HA3 (1.08, +0.22); NESTLE (133.00, + 0.20) ; BAT (12.90, +0.20)

** The Top 5 Losers : FANG-2XL (11.24, -0.60); HEIM (20.32, -0.34); PMBTECH-LA (13.50, -0.32) ; ALLIANZ-PA (12.38,-0.26); IMA SPRO (2.45, -0.20)

** The Top 5 Most Active Stocks : DNEX (0.92, -0.025) ; HIBISCS (0.97, +0.09); DATAPRP (0.615, +0.05); SMTRACK (0.165, -0.015) ; CORAZA (0.90, UNCHANGED)

** All major Asian markets were ended in red due to anticipated Hawkish approach by the Fed Chairman for the incoming FOMC meeting.

** Singapore’s Straits Times Index (STI) shed 12.58 point or -0.38% to 3,258.00 ; Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index declined 482.90 points or -1.99% at 23,807.00;  Japan’s Nikkei 225 down  -841.03 or -3.11% at 26,170.30, and Korea’s KOSPI down 94.75 points or -3.50% to 2,614.49;  Shanghai’s SSE Composite Index ended lower 61.42 points or -1.78% to 3,394.25.
