SELGATE And Magna Seal MoU On Biomedical Equipment Management Services Collaboration

SELGATE Healthcare Sdn Bhd, the healthcare arm of  SELGATE Corporation Sdn Bhd, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)  with Magna Meditech Sdn Bhd to explore opportunities within the Hospital Support  Services ecosystem namely Biomedical Equipment Management Services. 

The partnership signifies a historic milestone for SELGATE as part of its exercise to build capacity and capability by having a new stream of services to strengthen its financial footing via diversification of its operations and thus revenue streams. 

Representing SELGATE Healthcare were Executive Director Noor Hisham Mohd Ghouth and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr Muaz Omar. Meanwhile, signing on behalf of  Magna Meditech were its Group Managing Director, Divesh N Sheth and CEO,  L.N.Harish. 

Noor Hisham expressed that, “As SELGATE envisions to be the fulcrum of Selangor’s  healthcare industry, we are committed to diversify our services in the healthcare area and  complement our current offerings.” 

“With this in view, we would like to further expand our healthcare service offerings specifically in our upcoming hospital operations by setting up a Central Business Group  for Biomedical Equipment Management Services to be the central Hub for all medical equipment in the SELGATE group,” said Noor Hisham.  

Noor Hisham also added that SELGATE’s first hospital in Rawang is expected to start its operations early next year to serve the increased demand in high-quality healthcare services. 

Dr Muaz Omar said, “This initiative aims to develop new healthcare value chain and its related services to cater Malaysian healthcare market. Both parties are desirous to  explore potential business opportunities in the healthcare industry to enhance potential  earnings as well as to sustain business growth in the long-term perspective.”

“We are honoured to explore this opportunity with SELGATE Healthcare and we believe that this collaboration will thrive, and the benefits that come with it will echo through generations,” said Divesh. 

Divesh added that Magna Meditech will also assist in terms of consultancy and planning,  supply and installation, asset management and provision of Hospital Support Services. 

Both parties wish to explore other areas of Hospital Support Services such as Facility  Engineering Maintenance Services (FEMS), Cleaning Services (CLS), Clinical Waste  Management Services (CWMS), and Linen & Laundry Services (LLS) in the future. 

Recently, SELGATE Healthcare has also inked a MoU with Jovian Pharma Sdn Bhd in which the parties intend to collaborate in the rebranding of Selcare Pharmacy and Jovian  Pharma as well as strengthening its business development, the e-commerce platform and product development. Both parties aim to be emerging players in the nation’s pharmaceutical and healthcare retail industry.
