SMTrack Strongly Refutes Claims Of Being Involved In National RFID Toll Project

SMTrack which is known for its RFID technology and has been recently linked to being acquired by a Government Linked Company has strongly come out denying multiple news about the company.

The latest is of it being involved in the nationwide RFID toll project which Deputy Executive Chairman Azmin Osman has vehemently denied. Azmin went on the state that irresponsible political propaganda is at play and that it will not be tolerated, he further added the company will not hesitate to take legal action against those who spread these baseless claims.

RFID was a bane for road users recently when PLUS, the North-South Expressway concessionaire bundled the initial implementation causing much furor until the Prime Minister had to step in and called for a temporary halt on the program. Any business linked to RFID will be under hot soup, hence staying away from the topic for a while will be a wise thing to do.

Additionally, SMTrack went on to refute other claims thrown at it, Azmin said that the appointment of Datuk Saiful Nizam Mohd Yusoff as Independent Non-Executive Director being politically associated is also not true and would wish this could be put to rest as well.

With all this news circling the company, its not the attention it would like to have, especially when the company was heading on the right track with some eye catchy contracts and innovative prospects.
