Bina Darulaman Berhad Appoints Mohd Sobri As New CEO

Bina Darulaman Berhad has appointed Mohd Sobri Hussein as its new Chief Executive Officer who will take over BDB Group starting 4 February 2022.

Mohd Sobri has more than 20 years of experience in civil engineering and is involved in most of BDB Synergy and BDB Infra big projects such as Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah [formerly known as Kolej Universiti Insaniah Project (RM330.0 mil)], The Extension and Expansion of Wisma Darulaman (RM70.0 mil), Balai Penghadapan dan Dewan Santapan, Istana Anak Bukit (RM64.0 mil), Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara (IKBN RM63.4 mil), Sultan Abdul Halim Airport Project (RM57.0 mil) and Second Penang Bridge Project (RM40.0 mil).

BDB Synergy and BDB Infra were the main contributors to the Group under his stewardship. He was entrusted to participate in the main committee in the strategic business process as well as the business recovery plan of the Group. In recognition of his contribution, he was promoted as Executive Director of BDB Infra. He was then promoted as an Executive Vice President II – Operations @ Chief Operating Officer to oversee the operational matters of BDB Group.

Prior to joining BDB, he has served numerous companies including PERCON Cooperation Sdn Bhd and Mewah Kota Sdn Bhd as Project Engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) from the University of Wollongong, Australia.
