Gurney Walk Penang Is Now Open

Located along Penang’s famed Gurney Drive, this all-new landmark opens its doors to the public on March 1. Gurney Walk which is part of Plenitude Berhad’s development projects, is adjacent to the Ascott Gurney Hotel, also owned by Plenitude Berhad, will jive together to be an invigorating social and cultural hub providing patrons with pizzazz and lifestyle.

Gurney Walk has secured a vibrant mix of tenants, with the ground floor fully taken up. These include international brands such as The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Subway, as well as local, home-grown names such as Yin Sourdough, Four Spoons, Cueva and Urban Republic, some of which are making their debut in Penang.

Additionally, an entire floor within Gurney Walk will be dedicated to wellness, anchored by the 3,500 square-feet Areoma Boutique Spa. Visitors can also look forward to other wellness offerings, F&B outlets, hair and nail salons, local artisanal offerings and a plethora of pop-up stores slated to open in the near future.

Gurney Walk offers very competitive rental rates and is happy to engage and carve out niches for the right tenants and maintain sustainability and creativity.

Seamlessly connected to Ascott Gurney Hotel, Gurney Walk also expects synergistic crossovers from the hotel’s guests with a number of cross-promotional activities in the pipeline, which will be rolled out in due course.

Adding to its unique charm, Gurney Walk will curate and feature art exhibitions and workshops, amidst other planned offerings and community-centric events. The Management has laid out a 12-month programme for the mall to further cement its allure as an all-encompassing and exciting one-stop destination where members of the community and patrons can meet, play and engage in retail therapy.

Gurney Walk is situated in the heart of Gurney Drive, a thriving stretch synonymous with street food and hawker centres, with hotels, condominiums and office buildings. The area serves as a pit stop between Penang International Airport and the famous Batu Ferringhi beach, and is in close proximity to affluent suburbs of Pulau Tikus and Tanjung Bungah. All these have given rise to the vicinity’s popularity amongst locals and visitors alike who have come to treat and patronise Gurney Drive as their playground for food, culture and aesthetic delights.
