Bank Negara International Reserves At US$115.8 Billion

Bank Negara releases updates on the international reserves, as of the end of February, the international reserves of Bank Negara Malaysia amounted to USD115.8 billion.

According to the Central bank, the reserves position is sufficient to finance 6.1 months of imports of goods and services and is 1.2 times total short-term external debt. 

Under the previous import coverage measure, reserves were sufficient to finance 7.3 months of retained imports of goods (15 February 2022: 7.3 months).
