Greenpacket Remains In The 5G Game With The Launch Of 5 New Smart Devices

Green Packet which exhibited in the recent MWC 2022 in Barcelona, showcased its world’s first-ever Mediatek T750 5G CPE designed to bring 5G internet to dense urban areas, rural and suburban areas around the country.

The current GP Classic, GP Quantum and GP Oxygen devices are upgraded and equipped with Mediatek T750 5G chip which embeds 2NR CA function that combines two carriers into one data channel to enhance the data capacity of a network. It extends the Sub6-Ghz frequency of the 5G network which Green Packet CPE devices use and thus, delivers 2x faster 5G speeds of up to 4.6Gbps for improved user experience.

“The Smart Devices segment has sold over ten million to date across a wide range of geographical markets. With these 5G CPE devices, consumers and businesses will be able to connect to a 5G network that provides equally reliable or faster internet speeds at a more economical price,” said Frodo Rao, Chief Executive Officer of Green Packet Smart Solutions.

The global wireless broadband market was valued at USD440 million in 2018 and is expected to reach USD1.19 billion by the end of 2024, growing at a CAGR of 18.3% between 2019 and 2024, according to a recent online report. While much of fixed broadband technology services have been dominated by cable, copper, and fibre over the years, there is now a growing preference for fixed wireless access (FWA) services through the implementation of the 4G and 5G networks.

“Locally, Green Packet expects the adoption and demand of 5G devices to pick up with time alongside with the country’s goal to have 80% of its population accessible to 5G mobile coverage by 2024. The company aims to continue to drive its R&D initiatives and efforts to develop better value products.
