RM40 Million Contract Secured by Powerwell

The electrical power distribution equipment manufacturer and solution provider has bagged a contract for the Main Building Works Package from Tialoc Malaysia for a total contract value of RM40 million.

Powerwell will supply, install, testing and commissioning medium voltage switchgears and power distribution transformers for a new building project of a leading multi-national corporation’s semiconductor production and testing plant in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah under the said contract.

The Contract will commence by end March 2022. Its completion is targeted to be by October 2022.

“This contract is expected to contribute positively to Powerwell’s consolidated earnings and net assets for the financial year ending 31 March 2023,” said Ir Aaron Leong, Regional Sales Director.

“With the progression of our Malaysia economy, we are optimistic that the construction and infrastructure industry will be more vibrant. As the country transits into the endemic phase and with borders re-opening in April 2022, we will actively look into more tender opportunities, both locally and regionally by leveraging on our proven track record,” he added.
