Government Dispersing RM100-RM300 To 8.6 Million Malaysians From March 28

The Perikatan Nasional Government under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri will be dispersing RM2 billion under the BKM (Bantual Keluarga Malaysia) program to over 8.6 million Malaysians starting from March 28.

Depending on eligibility under Phase 1, a sum of RM100 to RM300 will be handed out to each individual in stages starting from the payout date mentioned above. The BKM program is split into three categories including a married couple with or without children, single mothers or fathers with income below RM5000, single senior citizen or without children, above 60 and below RM5000 in household income and the third category is for singles who are above 21 and below 59 or if OKU above 18 with income below RM2500.

BKM was announced during Budget 2022, a follow-up from previous assistance programs where cash was handed directly to communities that were in much need of support. This was also for those who missed out on the previous programs and were able to register during the application process from January 2022.
