Based on the 5G planning plan in Selangor, 1,553 units of 5G network structure for phase two will be installed in five districts this year, with 185 units installed in Sepang; 560 in Petaling; 272 in Klang; 345 in Hulu Langat and 191 in Gombak.
Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said according to data from the Malaysian Multimedia Communications Commission (MCMC) report, 28 transmitter sites were successfully completed last year for the implementation of phase 1A installation in Cyberjaya.
He said this at the Selangor State Assembly (DUN) today, to answer a question from Dr Daroyah Alwi (Bersatu-Sementa) who wanted to know the development of the 5G coverage network in Selangor until now.
Amirudin said the state government through SMARTSEL Sdn Bhd (SMARTSEL) is drafting a proposed collaboration with Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB) as the 5G wholesale network provider in Malaysia to expand the service infrastructure in industrial and community areas in Selangor.
