Public parking space users in the state of Selangor can now transfer their credit on the unused scratch-and-display parking coupons to the Smart Selangor Parking (SSP) app with immediate effect.
This comes as from April 1 physical parking coupons will no longer be valid and all parking systems in the state will be digital via the SSP app. Users can pay their parking coupons using the application and also keep track of their time consumed or if they need to top up.
The exchange will be welcomed by users who have unused physical coupons in their inventory, the exchange can be made at all the local councils in the state including at Dewan Serbaguna MBSJ, SS15 from March 26 to March 28 (10am to 5pm), Dewan Sivik MBPJ on April 2 and April 3 (10am to 4pm) as well as Dewan Jenjarum MBSA, Section 11 on April 9 and April 10 (10am to 4pm). The exchange programme is also available until the end of April (9am to 4pm) at the Leading Innovative Technologies & Systems Sdn Bhd (LITS) office I-City, Section 7, Shah Alam.
Meanwhile, for the parking coupons issued by the Subang Jaya City Council, the public can visit the local council headquarters in USJ 5, Subang Jaya.
The move is in line with the State adopting digitalising for its processes and at the same time reducing in using paper as it pursues sustainability-driven administration.
