Accenture To Expand Its Presence In Southeast Asia With The Hiring Of More Than 2000 IT Professionals

Accenture is proud to establish an Advanced Technology Centre in Malaysia (ATCM). The centre reflects the company’s commitment to help companies navigate and thrive in a changing world, and contribute to further economic growth and development in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

As a partner to Malaysia’s economic vision, the ATCM supports Malaysia’s strategic drive to accelerate innovation and scale the nation’s competitiveness on the global stage. Through the ATCM, Accenture will hire and train over 2000 IT professionals in the next few years. The centre has put in place a structured and continuous learning map that will develop and advance the technology skills of its talent to help clients address changing market conditions with future-ready technologies. This is a major step in supporting the MYDIGITAL economic blueprint with the aim of creating 500,000 jobs in the digital economy.

“We are confident the Accenture Advanced Technology Centre in Malaysia will contribute to the country’s key strategic growth priorities by training and activating local technology talents – the people at the frontlines of digital transformation,” said Accenture Malaysia’s Country Managing Director Azwan Baharuddin.

“The centre will align the requirements from each of our client’s unique stage of digital transformation with priority cloud-based, analytics and AI technologies delivered by our people. For our tech talent in the ATCM, this is an exciting opportunity for them to apply and deepen their skills through their work for local and global clients.”

In addition, Accenture has established an intelligent consulting hub in Malaysia that integrates leading strategy and consulting capabilities and deep industry and functional expertise to streamline the delivery of data and asset-powered solutions and offerings for its clients. Employees will have the opportunity to tap on Accenture’s global network and leverage global insight, relationships, collaboration and learning – further supporting the growth of the local talent pool in high-demand areas, such as the Financial Services and Retail sectors.

Divyesh Vithlani, Senior Managing Director and Southeast Asia Market Unit Lead, Accenture said, “Our investment in Malaysia reflects our long-standing commitment to better serve our clients and communities, locally and regionally, and helping them navigate change in an era of compressed transformation. This presents us with the opportunity to offer diverse, compelling and interesting careers for talents across our innovation centres in the region, fulfilling our aspiration to be the employer of choice. Looking forward, we will play a more critical role in advancing the tech ecosystem where transformation, innovation, technology and sustainability converge with top talent.”
