Singaporeans Are Still Prohibited Filing Despite RON97 Petrol Price Coming Down

The retail price of RON97 petrol will decrease by 10 sen per litre while those for RON95 and diesel will remain unchanged for the April 7 to April 13 period.

To protect consumers from the effects of rising real oil prices in the global market, the government has maintained the retail price of RON95 petrol at a ceiling price of RM2.05 per liter and diesel at RM2.15 per liter, even though the actual market price of both products has risen above the ceiling price whereby the retail price of RON97 petrol which is fixed according to the actual market price.

The government will also continue to monitor the impact of changes in world crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure that the welfare and well-being of the people continue to be protected.
