Kuala Lumpur, Apr 12 –Bursa Malaysia closed broadly lower on Tuesday taking cue the performance of equities markets in Asia Pacific. Most of the Asia-Pacific stock markets ended in negative territory on Tuesday as investors remain cautious while waiting for U.S. inflation data amid unease about aggressive monetary tightening measures, Russia’s war on Ukraine that dragged the whole world to face unprecedented inflationary pressure and economic woes, as well as the newly released PPI and CPI figures of China and its efforts to contain coronavirus outbreaks.
** FTSE BM KLCI shed 7.48 points or -0.47% at 1,597.13.
** The FTSE BM KLCI opened at 1,603.87. The index fluctuated between 1,598.17 – 1,603.98.
