Telekom Malaysia has confirmed that it has executed a service agreement with DNB for the Fiber Leasing Service Agreement. Under this Service Agreement, TM added, DNB will subscribe to 5G RAN-to-Edge Fronthaul and Backhaul as a single end-to-end solution for the provision of fibre connectivity that will enable DNB to provide 5G service to its customers.
The Service Agreement sets out the agreed terms and conditions for the respective Services in accordance with the contract period. It covers 5G RAN-to-Edge Fronthaul and Backhaul as a single end-to-end fiber leasing offering with a total contract value of RM2 billion over 10 years. It is effective from 28 August 2021 and remains valid until the expiry of the 10 years Service Term of the last commissioned cell site unless earlier terminated by the Parties.
TM will provide the Services to enable DNB’s 5G infrastructure needs in supporting the Government’s aspiration to speed up 5G rollout in Malaysia.
