PLUS Is Preparing 1100 Lanes At Toll Booths To Ease Payment Congestion

North-South Highway concessionaire, PLUS is making preparations for the coming Hari Raya holiday exodus as it expects a large volume of vehicles to the tune of 2 million daily, something it has never experienced in the past.

In lieu of the unexpected quantity of vehicles, the operator says it will be preparing a total of 1100 lanes at 94 toll booths to ease traffic and smoothen the payment process. Additionally, PLUS said it will station more manpower at selected plazas and reserved 1,500 Customer Service Assistants to be on hand to ensure smooth travel and clear issues quickly.

To support the process, the operator has also asked highway users to ensure their remaining balance in their Touch ‘n Go cards and eWallet (for RFID users) are always sufficient before starting the journey.

There will also be RELA troops on standby to control traffic and PLUS HQ reserve units in selected locations. The operator manages the north-south expressway which connects all the states on the west coast including Perak, Penang, Kedah, and Perlis in the north and N.Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor in the south.
