6 Banks File Winding Up Petition Against Serba Dinamik And Subsidiaries

Serba Dinamik Berhad has announced that 6 banks have served a winding-up petition against the company and its subsidiaries.

The banks are HSBC Amanah Malaysia Berhad, Ambank Islamic Berhad, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Berhad, Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad, and United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd who are collectively referred to as Syndicated Lenders. They filed a winding-up petition against Serba together with its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Serba Dinamik Group Berhad and its indirect wholly-owned subsidiaries, Serba Dinamik Sdn Bhd and Serba Dinamik International Ltd

The Company and the SD Subsidiaries were served with the Winding Up Petitions on 28 April 2022, the case management has been fixed on 1 July 2022 and the hearing of the Winding Up Petitions have been fixed on 6 July 2022.

Along with the Winding Up Petitions, the Syndicated Lenders filed a summon in chambers to seek the appointment of Victor Saw Seng Kee of PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory Services Sdn Bhd as the Interim Liquidator of the Company and SD Subsidiaries.
