Sapura Energy has announced that its Independent Director, Tan Sri Megat Zaharuddin has effectively resigned from the group with immediate effect.
The distressed oil and gas listed company informed in a Bursa filing that Megat will also cease to the chairman of its rumeneration and nomination commitee. He has stated the reason for resignging was to pursue other interests.
Seperately it had appointed Datuk Mohammad Azlan Abdullah as its new Chairman who will succeed 70 year old Tan Sri Shamsul who is retiring.
