Exabytes To Organise The Second Malaysian SME B2B E-Commerce Exporting Forum

Exabytes continues its effort to spur the SME industry in Malaysia by organising its second MY SME Export Forum on June 1 to June 3. This Malaysian SME B2B e-commerce exporting forum will be conducted virtually, free of charge for SMEs, entrepreneurs, and potential market entrants who are interested in foreign markets.

Targeting SMEs, entrepreneurs, and potential market entrants who are interested in foreign markets, this forum will discuss the positive impact of RCEP on Malaysian Businesses. The forum will also cover the eligibility requirements, procedures, new developments and opportunities in the international market and the Global Halal Market trends, Malaysian government initiatives in place for this segment, digitalisation of the exporting business, and the overall exporting ecosystem.

Aiming to double up the growing volume of the cross-border trade SMEs in Malaysia this year, the MY SME Export Forum is crucial for economic recovery in a post-pandemic world. It is also critical to understand world trends where supply and demand are ever-changing. What more with global conflicts and shortages in certain parts of the world, these developments should be seen as an opportunity for Malaysian companies to penetrate the market. This year, the forum will focus on growing the Halal markets, an area where Malaysia takes the lead, which makes digitalisation the default modus operandi of all Malaysian exporters.

With over 21 years of experience powering over 160,000 businesses worldwide to grow online, Exabytes has been appointed as an authorized Channel Partner of Alibaba.com for the platform’s Global Gold Supplier (GGS) membership in Malaysia since 2019. Through its collaboration with Alibaba.com and other efforts, Exabytes has accelerated hundreds of SMEs over the years to tap into millions of buyers worldwide and discover export business opportunities. Exabytes will continue its efforts to spur the SME industry in Malaysia, as it launches the second Malaysian SME B2B E-Commerce Exporting Forum.

The first Malaysian SME B2B E-Commerce Exporting Forum that took place in 2021 was the first and largest exporting forum with over 800 virtual attendees logging onto the 2-day online event. In 2022, Exabytes will be hosting 22 speakers covering 16 exporting business sharing topics. Some of the key industry players that will be involved are Nianci Phang (Regional Marketing and Business Development Manager, Alibaba.com), YM Raja Badrulnizam Raja Kamalzaman (Director of ASEAN & Oceania Section, MATRADE) and Mr Mohammad Hafiz Jamaluddin (Head of Halal Integrated Platform, Halal Development Corporation).

“Looking at how the forum has helped many SMEs grow last year, we would like to invite all SME business owners to grab the opportunity to attend this event. We believe that this year’s improved and specially curated forum will be able to further enhance the SME landscape while helping them to achieve broader awareness as well as to reach out for wider sales possibilities. During the B2B e-commerce workshops that we have conducted previously, our attendees also responded to similar difficulties and challenges in their efforts to export their products internationally. As a nationwide digital solutions supplier with 21 years of experience, we want to help more Malaysian SMEs become global exporters,” said Chan Kee Siak, Founder and CEO of Exabytes Network Sdn Bhd.

“Many exporters are currently confronted with challenges and constraints in the exporting business, such as a lack of qualified staff to develop, support, and maintain the system, a lack of appropriate target market contacts, a need for financial assistance, and difficulties with foreign standards and certification. We hope that with MY SME Export Forum, more business owners can further understand the exporting ecosystem and enhance their growth in the B2B exporting business and industry.” added Chan.
