Prime Minister Dato Seri Ismail Sabri has issued his remarks with regards to the resignation of Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin the Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities from her party Bersatu and joining a fledgling party.
The PM who is on a working trip to Japan commented that Zuraida who is also on a working trip in Europe is still a cabinet minister till he meets her and has a discussion on the matter. This comes as the party leader for Bersatu who elected Zuraida for the post, Tan Sri Muhyiddin declared that a new candidate will be suggested to the PM to replace her.
Although the appointment of Cabinet ministers is entirely the prerogative of the Ismail Sabri, the issue regarding Zuraida will be complicated as the dynamics will involve Bersatu which is part of the coalition forming the government.
