Tourism Malaysia Roadshows in Bangladesh

Tourism Malaysia has launched its first roadshow to two major cities in Bangladesh from 2 till 7 June , after two- year hiatus.

The roadshow kicks off in the city of Dhaka, followed by Chattogram. The mission is headed by Mr. Syed Yahya, Senior Director of Strategic Planning Division, Tourism Malaysia together with Malaysia’s tourism fraternity which consists of five (5) travel agents and one health agency.

Bangladesh continues to be one of Malaysia’s top market source with 179,000 arrivals in 2019. Aside from instilling confidence in Bangladeshis to return to Malaysia, the roadshow aims to provide a platform for the industry community to bounce back and steer the tourism sector back to growth track.

“This is an excellent time to return to Bangladesh, and the timing of this roadshow is ideal. The resumption of scheduled international flights from Bangladesh coincides with Malaysia’s reopening of its international borders,” said Dato’ Haji Zainuddin B. Abdul Wahab, Director General of Tourism Malaysia.

“We are thrilled and excited to welcome Bangladeshi tourists back on exciting, new value-driven, and action packed itineraries to experience Malaysia’s best and latest. After 2 years, there is still so much to discover, especially with the newly opened outdoor theme park, the refurbished Sunway Resort, and a magnificent new attraction, the Merdeka 118, the second tallest building. I am confident that these new attractions, in addition to our beautiful beaches, exhilarating mountains and jungles, and a plethora of activities, will make your trip memorable,” he added.
