Tourism Recovery Plan Campaign 2022 is Back with Exciting Packages and Vouchers

Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) through its agency, Tourism Malaysia has launched the Tourism Recovery Plan 2022 for The Special Interest Tourism Cluster covers the theme park, scuba diving and lodging segments village.

This year’s event was officiated by the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, YB Dato ’Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri and it involves the cooperation of the Malaysian Association of Themepark & Family Attractions (MATFA), Malaysian Scuba Diving Association (MSDA) and Malaysia Kampung & Homestay Association (MKHA) .

The Tourism Recovery Plan 2022 which is a continuation of the Economic Stimulus Package (PRE 1.0), is one of the initiatives under the Recovery Plan The Tourism Industry involves the distribution of incentives to Malaysians in the form of discounts, vouchers and rebates.

YB Dato ‘Sri Hajah Nancy said, these three initiatives will benefit about 54,000 consumers are involved in offering attractive travel packages and vouchers with an overall sales target of RM6,753,420.

“At the same time, this recovery plan is also expected to help the industry players to remain competitive in revitalizing the industry domestic tourism,” she said.

Malaysian families can get a discount of up to 40% and e-vouchers worth RM10 for each purchase of admission tickets to the theme parks and family entertainment centers involved starting June 24 to October 2, 2022. Each user is eligible to make a redemption a maximum of three (3) times at three theme parks or at different family entertainment centers and
purchases must be made through the website www.tickets.matfa.org.my.

The “Jom Dive 2.0” campaign offers a discount of RM400 for each purchase scuba diving packages priced at RM1,000 and above in one transaction through the website www.xtvt.com.my. This offer is limited to 1,994 first -time buyers based on terms and the condition ‘whoever is fast, he gets it’.

Meanwhile, under the “Jom Cuti di Homestay” campaign, consumers are eligible to enjoy rebates of RM50 to RM300 for each package purchase priced at RM100 and above with a maximum redemption of up to three (3) times. A total of 150 packages are offered at jomhomestay.my portal with the involvement of 67 clusters of home stay entrepreneurs from all over Malaysia and the validity period is until 31 December 2022.
