Kontena Nasional Joins iStore iSend’s Fulfillment Partner Network

Malaysian homegrown warehouse-as-a-service [WaaS] iStore iSend recently added Kontena Nasional, an established logistics company to their Fulfilment Partner Network (FPN). The Fulfilment Partner Network (FPN) aims to leverage on working with space and manpower providers, while iStore iSend will contribute its tech know-how to support the tremendous e-commerce growth in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. 

iStore iSend plans on working with industry players such as Kontena Nasional to provide a network of warehouses that are capable of doing e-fulfilment. In return, iStore iSend will provide the warehouse layout design, a team that will provide training on iStore iSend’s ODIN system and e-fulfilment knowledge sharing. Besides providing tech support, iStore iSend will also provide clients and sales support to Kontena Nasional and other players who join the Fulfilment Partner Network (FPN).

We are keen to support the explosive e-commerce growth locally and regionally by offering supply chain management to any business regardless of size. With FPN as a platform, we can have a mutually beneficial relationship with our partners, such as Kontena Nasional because we can be by their side as they make the leap into the e-fulfilment sector,” 

According to a recent report titled, “e-Conomy SEA 2021 by Bain, Google Trends and Temasek, a Singaporean investment firm, Southeast Asia is among the world’s fastest-growing digital markets, and the Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) of e-commerce in the region is estimated to reach $234 billion by 2025. In 2021 alone, e-commerce in six countries: Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia grew 62% from $74 billion in 2020. 

“It has always been in our business plan to venture into the e-commerce sector and enlarge our presence in the Industry. This is in line with our mission to expand our warehouse business and our promise of providing continued logistics excellence, quality and reliability,” said Nik Muzani Nik Abd Aziz, Chief Executive Officer of Kontena Nasional Berhad.

Companies that join iStore iSend’s FPN will receive feedback on their warehouse layout design, direct tech support, as well as client and sales support. Moving forward, iStore iSend plans to work with other logistic companies and like-minded companies that wish to participate in its FPN and explore WaaS e-fulfillment together.
