New Revenue Stream From Mesra Cafe’s For Petronas Dagangan

PETRONAS Dagangan launched Café Mesra today as the energy company is venturing into growing its non-fuel portfolio in the food and beverage (F&B) business.

Café Mesra offers customers coffee and food experience with emphasis on fresh and healthy ingredients, at affordable prices. The outlets will be strategically located at selected PETRONAS stations for greater convenience, with a maiden drive-through Café Mesra at PETRONAS USJ20 to cater to motorists on the go.

“We look forward to welcoming customers to our cafés. We expect to open and operate 50 Café Mesra outlets throughout Malaysia by the end of the year, including standalone cafés and kiosks,” Chief Executive Officer of Mesra Retail & Café, Ian Malcolm Cruddas said.

“Café Mesra is part of PDB’s continuous pursuit to make our customers’ everyday lives simpler and better. This is yet another initiative where we leverage our existing network and infrastructure to widen our reach, improve our retail offering and future-proof our business,” PDB Vice President and Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Azrul Osman Rani said.

There are currently available at 11 PETRONAS stations around Klang Valley and one at Bandar Baru Nilai.

The offerings of Cafe Mesra include barista-quality handcrafted coffee, featuring its signature Mesra Latte, as well as two new food concepts – Fusion and SayHeart.

Fusion, by staying true to its name, offers a unique selection of blended cuisine inspired by different people and culture such as Nasi Goreng Mesra and Nasi Goreng Salsa; whilst SayHeart features healthy yet tasty food for the health-conscious such as plant-based Ayam Masak Merah with cauliflower rice, gluten-free plant-based burger and an all-natural decadent Kuih Bar, specially concocted for Café Mesra. Furthermore, SayHeart food items are also locally sourced in support of Malaysia’s local farmers and vendors.
