MNHB Secures RM12.2 Million EPCC Contract For Solar Project In Pahang

Underground utilities and substation engineering specialist MN Holdings Bhd has secured a contract for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (“EPCC”) of high voltage systems and related works for a large-scale solar photovoltaic (“LSSPV”) plant in Pekan, Pahang worth RM12.2 million.

MNHB’s wholly-owned subsidiary MN Power Transmission Sdn Bhd has accepted a letter of award (“LoA”) from ERS Energy Sdn Bhd (“ERS Energy”) for its appointment as a sub-contractor for the 50MWAC LSSPV plant at Tanjung Batu.

Under the contract, MN Power will be responsible for the EPCC of a solar power plant interconnection facility (“SPPIF”) for a 33kV medium voltage system and 132kV high voltage system, and solar power plant works (“SPPW”) for a 132kV high voltage system.

ERS Energy is a leading solar EPCC service provider with over 10 years of industry experience in residential solar, commercial and industrial solar, and large-scale solar projects.

Works for the contract is for a period of 13 months from 15 July 2022, to 14 August 2023.

The latest win further adds to MNHB’s order book to RM231.1 million, said MNHB Executive Director Mr Dang Siong Diang “Despite challenges from supply chain disruptions to rising costs, this contract affirms the outlook on the robust level of activities in the solar PV industry.

“We will continue to leverage on our deep experience in the underground utilities and substation engineering segment to secure more projects moving forward,” he added.
