Kenaf Venture Global Explores AgriCommodity Potential For Future Opportunities

Kenaf Venture Global (KVG) further paves the way for holistic sustainability initiatives through its participation in Malaysia International Agricommodity Expo & Summit (MIACES) in Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from 26 July 2022 to 28 July 2022.
 
The expo welcomes delegates from over 20 countries around the globe, which opens a wider opportunity door for all participating delegates. The event is organised by Malaysia’s Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities (MPIC) with the support of the Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC), Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) and Malaysian Timber Council (MTC). Among the main aims for the event is boosting the agricommodity sector to generate optimum outcomes including revenue for the nation.

KVG, represented by its President, Azman Ahmad together with its Group CEO, Jazman Shahar Abdollah also officialized collaborations with international partners; Omega Group, represented by the Founder, Thomas Hartono from Indonesia and Habiterra, represented by the Managing Director, Miebaka K. Adoki from Nigeria. The MoU signing ceremony was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Datuk Hajah Zuraida Kamaruddin, the Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Malaysia.

The main focus of the initiated partnerships are the expansion of kenaf in upstream, midstream and to downstream levels. Specifically, the collaboration between KVG and Omega group looks at the land expansion for kenaf cultivation while the partnership between KVG and Habiterra looks at the construction of modular housing technology.

The partnership between KVG and Habiterra shall be a stepping stone towards KVG’s involvement in the creation of sustainable buildings in Africa, particularly in the construction of modular house technology and the expansion of KVG plantation in Africa. Habiterra sees KVG as an ideal partner in achieving the objectives. Hence, the partnership is forged upon mutual interests for both parties including the establishment of international partnership between two continents.

KVG Group CEO, Jazman Shahar Abdollah said “KVG looks forward to being in the chain of the sector development alongside being engaged with the international industry players. We believe there are so many benefits that we can share with the global society from the development of the agricommodity sector. In KVG, we contribute to the development of the kenaf industry and the related sectors”.

Aligned with the main objectives of the expo, KVG aims to contribute to sustainability and addressing climate change issues. As an initiative to achieve the objectives, KVG is expanding towards the Southeast Asia region, which shall be inaugurated in August 2022, Indonesia. The expansion is focusing on Southeast Asia and KVG starts with Indonesia considering the vast potential for kenaf cultivation and development.
