‘Program PerantiSiswa’ Expanded To Four More Categories

The government is expanding the ‘ Program PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia’ to four more categories of recipients, with applications open from today.

The Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Tan Sri Annuar Musa said, the new expansion involves students who are following the foundation program at the Public Institute of Higher Education (IPTA) as well as matriculation students under the Ministry of Education (MOE).

In addition, he said it will be also extended to students in semesters one and two of secondary school or Form Six students as well as Malaysian vocational diploma students who are currently studying at Vocational Colleges.

“The procurement committee has also chosen the Samsung brand as the winner of the open tender involving five suppliers and five different zones, namely Sabah and Sarawak in the first zone as well as the northern, central, eastern, and southern zones,” he said.

He said this in response to a question from Lukanisman Awang Sauni (GPS-Sibuti) at an oral question and answer session in the Dewan Rakyat today.
